Weiler Péter elsősorban digitális eszközökkel alkot, ő volt az első magyar képzőművész, aki 2021-ben kriptovalutáért NFT-t értékesített. Művészetét a történetmesélés, a minket körülvevő épített környezetünk és a benne élők felett elmúló idő iránt érzett melankólia jellemzik. A színes kommunikációs nyelvvel a magyar történelem és formakultúra sajátos egyvelegét írja le, ami egyszerre szerethető és szívbe markolóan emberi. Weiler képeiben a hiány és a magány, a lemaradó részletek, a történetből hiányzó elemek és szereplők legalább annyira fontosak, mint a megjelenített tartalom.
Weiler 2021-ben szerezte meg MFA mesterdiplomáját a New York-i School of Visual Arts Egyetemen. Jelenleg doktorandusz a MOME multimédia-művészet szakán. Kutatási témája az emberi kreativitás a mesterséges intelligencia árnyékában.

Peter Weiler is a Hungarian multimedia artist working primarily with digital tools. Weiler often blends art history and the contemporary art scene in his colorful works, juxtaposing the banality of modern city life with the privileges and comfort of our society. His practice revolves around storytelling, where often the most important parts are the invisible, left-out or missing elements. Weiler was the first Hungarian artist to sell an NFT artwork for cryptocurrency. He is among the leading Hungarian figures researching and working in the crypto art world.
He graduated from The Art Institute of Philadelphia in 1996 and after spending two years in the USA he moved back to Budapest where he currently works. In 2021 Weiler graduated from School of Visual Arts Master of Fine Arts program in New York. He is currently a doctorate candidate on Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design where he is researching human creativity in the light of artificial intelligence.
