Huntrezz János határsértő afro-magyar művész, akinek munkássága olyan médiumokon ível át, mint az installáció, a kiterjesztett és virtuális valóság, a festészet, a szobrászat, a performansz és a költészet, hogy csak néhányat említsünk. János éles filterekkel, digitális szimulációkkal és anarchikus vaporwave-esztétikával tárja fel az identitás rétegzettségét, valamint a rendszerszintű elnyomottság és kirekesztés megélt tapasztalatait. János a California Institute of the Artson szerzett BFA-fokozatot kísérleti animáció szakon, jelenleg MS-tanulmányokat folytat. Kiállított és fellépett olyan helyszíneken, mint a The Modern (Fort Worth), az Athens Biennialle (Athén), a Tate Britain (London), a Museum of Modern Art (New York), a K Museum of Contemporary Art (Szöul), a TRANSFER (LA/NYC), az Honor Fraser (Los Angeles) NAVEL (Los Angeles), a Hunter Shaw Fine Art (Los Angeles), az Arebyte (London) és a CultureHub ( New York). Huntrezz János is a boundary-breaking Afro-Hungarian artist whose work spans across mediums including installations, augmented and virtual realities, painting, sculpture, performance, and poetry, to name a few. János uses sharp renders, digital simulations, and anarchic vaporwave aesthetics to explore the layered nature of identity and the lived experiences of systemic oppression and exclusion. With a BFA in Experimental Animation from the California Institute of the Arts and an MS in progress, Janos has exhibited and performed at venues including The Modern (Fort Worth), Athens Biennale (Athens), Tate Britain (London), Museum of Modern Art (New York), K Museum of Contemporary Art (Seoul), TRANSFER (LA/NYC), Honor Fraser (Los Angeles) NAVEL (Los Angeles), Hunter Shaw Fine Art (Los Angeles), Arebyte (London), and CultureHub (New York). As a Black Trans-fem entity, Janos uses her work to challenge preconceived notions surrounding identity, community, social infrastructure, and the intersectionality of her experiences. With her interactive face filters and augmented reality mythology, Janos introduces fantastic and impossible characters to represent different real, imagined, and daydreamed happenings in her life. Her multi-layered face filters are available as unique installations experienced both physically and online. The works are delivered as Meta Spark AR files and viewable through Instagram or via Meta Spark AR Player on PC and MAC computers. Her work is a testimony to a future of equality and a refusal to submit to systemic oppression and exclusion. Janos’s dedication and passion for her work are evident in each piece she creates, and her unique approach to art and self-expression has garnered the attention and admiration of audiences worldwide.

Az „Infilteriterations” az identitásról alkotott képzetünket kérdőjelezi meg egy AR művészeti installáción keresztül, amely réteges arcfilterekkel operál mind a fizikai, mind az online térben. Huntrezz álomszerű avatárjai felforgatják a magyar társadalom normatív rendszerét, és párbeszédre ösztönöznek a technológia önképünkre gyakorolt hatásáról.

’Infilteriterations’ challenges our perception of identity through an AR art installation that features cumulated face filters for both physical and online engagement. Huntrezz’s dreamlike avatars subvert traditional Hungarian societal norms, stimulating dialogue on technology’s influence on our sense of self.
