Ivo aims to animate the painting process, showing its flow and energy. He used a styleGAN algorithm to generate images from an archive of royalty-free faces. Through a slowing-down process, he creates motor vectors and time shifts within the footage, resulting in glitch-like images that blur the line between real and kitschy. Ivó’s goal was to make the images as accurate as possible regarding color, consistency, and composition.
