A digitális gazdaságra való strukturális átállás és a világunkat átszövő metakrízis gyökeres változásokat hozott társadalmi értékeinkben. A BINÁLÉ egy szuverén és decentralizált kezdeményezés Kelet-Európa kulturálisan polarizált és politikailag terhelt környezetében. Budapest egyesítésének 150. évfordulója méltó apropó közösségi értékeink fenntartható újrahangolására a digitális művészet és a hozzá kapcsolódó technológiák sokszínű megélésével a mozgókép, a kiterjesztett valóság, a számítógépes, generatív, robotikus és hálózati művészet világában. Öt kontinens művészeinek alkotásai ösztönöznek a demokratikus normák újragondolására, gyakran olyan kritikai, poszthumanista vagy a nyugati hagyományban szokatlan eszmerendszerek által, melyek az intelligenciát, a tudatosságot és az egymásra utaltságot a modernkori emberközpontúságtól elrugaszkodva értelmezik.
Mit tanulhatunk az Amazonas-menti törzsektől, ha fenntartható együttélésről van szó? Hogyan alakulnak a társadalmi hálózatok a városban és online? Hogyan formálja a mesterséges inteligencia az emberi érzékelést, a kreativitást, az interakciót és az együttélés mintázatait? Mi a kapcsolat a spirituális hagyományok és a géntechnológia legújabb felfedezései között? Hogyan válik a tömegmédia és a popkultúra fikciója saját valóságunkká? Praktikum vagy biztonság – mi a közösség felelőssége egy emberibb technológia létrehozásában?

Sovereign and decentralized initiative, operates in the culturally polarized and politically charged environment of Eastern Europe. The exhibition marks the 150th anniversary of Budapest and serves as a call for reflection on our collective values in the age of persuasive technologies. The curated selection of digital art is diverse, ranging from video, computer, generative, and robotic to post-internet and augmented reality art. Artists from five continents have contributed their works to the exhibition, reimagining democratic norms in light of posthumanist ideas and non-Western codes that view intelligence, consciousness, and interdependence as more inclusive and dynamic principles.
The exhibition raises a number of thought-provoking questions: What can we learn from Amazonian tribes about sustainable coexistence? How are social networks evolving in both physical cities and cyberspace? What is the impact of artificial intelligence on human perception, creativity, interaction, and decision-making? How do recent discoveries in genetic engineering intersect with spiritual traditions? How does mass media and pop culture fiction influence and shape our reality? And finally, what role do we play in promoting the development and use of technology that is more humane and aligned with our ethical principles?

BINÁLÉ is a sovereign and decentralized initiative. It operates in the culturally polarized and politically charged environment of Eastern Europe. For the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the union between the three historic cities of Óbuda, Buda and Pest, BINÁLÉ has organized an outstanding collection of artworks from around the world to explore the idea of “queering democracy” through the power of art. Our reimagining of democratic norms is inspired by posthumanist ideas and often non-Western codes that see intelligence, consciousness, and interdependence as principles that are not exclusively human. The programme is organized in the framework of the Budapest Spring Festival in cooperation with Budapest Brand.

A digitális művészeti szemle technológia és demokrácia kapcsolatát helyezi új fénytörésbe Buda, Pest és Óbuda egyesítésének 150. évfordulóján. A BINÁLÉ a művészet erejével teremt lehetőséget a “queering democracy” kifejezéssel leírható törekvés vizsgálatára. A demokratikus normák újragondolásában olyan poszthumanista és a nyugati hagyományban szokatlan eszmékre támaszkodik, melyek az intelligenciát, a tudatosságot és az egymásra utaltságot az emberközpontúságtól elrugaszkodva értelmezik. A program a Budapesti Tavaszi Fesztivál keretében a Budapest Brand közreműködésével valósul meg.
